Member Monday - Featuring: Annie Healy!

Meet... Annie “On Brand” Healy

All things Cape Harmony!

Q: What made you come back for a second summer?

A: “This year I was working a 9-5 job at a nonprofit in Boston. Although it was a great experience filled with a lot of generous people, I knew it wasn’t something I wanted to continue doing for a long time. So, I made the decision to pursue my passions for performance and music in Cape Harmony.”

Q: As this summer’s publicity manager, what are your goals for CH?

A: “I want to make our group more of a household name on Cape Cod because we’ve only been around for 12 years. We still have room for growth, and I think that can be done by properly utilizing our publicity and media tools.”

Q: When you’re not in the Cape Harmony house, what is your favorite thing to do on the Cape?

A: “Spend time with my family in Chatham!”

Q: What has been your favorite CH memory so far this summer?

A: “Probably when we performed How Far I’ll go for the West Village Elementary School. Seeing how excited the kids got about the song, and having them sing along was such a sweet experience for all of us. It reminded us how music transcends people of any age, culture, etc.”

Q: How do you feel about this being your last summer in CH?

A: “Cape Harmony has taught me so much about myself, my skill set, and what I can bring to the world as an adult. Although it's so sad, it’s exciting to have had this experience in my back pocket so I can refer to it when making desicions in my future.”

More about Annie!

Q: Have you ever been pulled over by a cop?

A: “YES twice because my lights weren’t on. I’m such a space cadet.”

Q: Describe your perfect pizza.

A: “Well first of all you have to have a good base. If you don’t have a good crust, you’re going nowhere. I love a white pizza with prosciutto, arugula, and a good balsamic glaze. I love when food plays with sweet and salty.”

Q: Do you remember the first thing you thought when you woke up this morning?

A: “Yes, it was 7:15 and Sarah’s alarm went off, so I was really confused. But, it was a beautiful day cause I could see the sun shining through the window.’’

Q: Who cheers you up the most when you’re down?

A: “My best friend Meghan!”

Q: What is the most memorable class you’ve ever taken?

A: “It would probably be my chorus class in high school. I think when I look back on it it was one of the only periods of time in high school that I never wanted to end.”

Q: Are you a dog or cat person?

A: “DOGS ALL THE WAY BABY. I hate cats, except for Jerry our neighborhood cat.”

Q: Who was your first celebrity crush?

A: “Jack from Boy Meets World. No one ever remembers him except for me.”

Q: If your name had to be the name of a State in the US, what would it be?

A: “I would probably pick Indiana, so I could still be called Annie and it wouldn’t be weird.”

Q: When was the last time you thought about Abraham Lincoln?

A: “The other day I picked up a heads up penny, so I had really great memories of Abe in that moment.”

Q: What ingredients would be in your ideal smoothie?

A: “Banana, peanut butter, strawberry, oats, vanilla greek yogurt, and a little honey. I’m not really a smoothie expert, but it sounds good to me.”
