Member Mondays - Featuring: Julia McBride!
Meet Julia “Dillydally” McBride!
All things Cape Harmony!
Q: How did you find out about Cape Harmony?
A: ”I’m trying to remember the exact moment. I think it was after my high school a cappella groups last concert my freshman year, and our director, Dave Grossman, mentioned it in passing. I’ve literally been thinking about it for four years (I am crazy). So being in the group is the hugest dream come true.”
Q: What is it like coming from your collegiate a cappella group to Cape Harmony?
A: “ I like both a lot, but I get something different from both. Cape Harmony is a job and I spend the whole day being able to do a cappella. Vocal point has a different repertoire in the way that it is a competing group. I have other things to focus on at school, but here it is all a cappella. If I could I would focus only on a cappella instead of things like health and hygiene.
Q: What are you most excited about living on the Cape?
A: “Definitely hanging out with a bunch of really wonderful ladies and making a lot of fun and happy music with them. Also, being able to go to the beach everyday and still being able to see local friends and family is a bonus!”
Q: With this being your first summer in Cape Harmony, what are you nervous for?
A: “Um really bad sunburn and or vocal fatigue.”
Q: Do you have any goals for your first summer in Cape Harmony?
A: “To grow as a musician and a human.”

A: “Talking on the phone because I’m bad at texting.”
