Member Mondays - Featuring: Liz!

Meet Liz "Lizbeth" McGovern!

All things Cape Harmony!

Q: How did you hear about Cape Harmony?

A: "I received a text message from Megan Gladden, essentially threatening all of the females in my BC a cappella group to either audition for Cape Harmony or face her wrath, but she pitched it quite well, I have to say. I was immediately so drawn to it."

Q: What do you like most about Cape Harmony?

A: "The feeling that comes from creating music with girls that I've also come to love like sisters feels like a home away from home, and my 'home's are very important to me...my 'home-home' and this home."

Q: What has been your favorite CH experience?

A: "Probably this weekend. There are many many times with Cape Harmony when I feel like I am with my family in a weird kind of way. It has a weird flavor about it that comes from doing exactly what we're doing."

Q: What's something unexpected you've learned while in Cape Harmony?

A: "The Cape has a lot of spiders."

Q: What aspects of CH do you want to bring back to your collegiate a cappella group?

A: "Wow. All of it. First of all, I would have to say the 9 members of it...I'm dying for my a cappella group to meet you all. Second, I think that Cape Harmony has an absolutely incredible way of balancing professionalism with being genuine."

More about Liz!

Q: If you were a super hero, what would your name be and what power would you possess?

A: "My name would be Liz, and I would be able to talk to animals."

Q: Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

A: "The food. Whichever one is the food."

Q: What's your all-time favorite food?

A: "Jeez. That is an unbelievably hard question. Probably my mom's chicken pot pie."

Q: What's your best pick up line?

A: "Hi"

Q: You drop your purse on the side of the road. What falls out?

A: "My wallet...my phone that probably shatters even more...oh, a hair brush. Like, 17 different perfumes. Sand."

Q: Who's your style icon?

A: "Probably my dad. He wears a lot of cowboy boots and belt buckles, but somehow...nah, probably just wears a lot of cowboy boots and belt buckles."

Q: What's your favorite family tradition?

A: "Dinner."

Q: What's your favorite quote?

A: "'You're absolutely bonkers, but all the best people are.'"

Q: If you could have an accent from anywhere in the world, what accent would it be?

A: "Irish."

Q: What was your middle school anthem?

A: "'Good Riddance' by Green Day, or anything by Green Day."

Last weekend, Cape Harmony ventured all the way to New Jersey for a private event at Liz's house. We had an amazing time, and are still in complete awe of the hospitality displayed by her family and friends. Now that we're back on the Cape, we're so excited to be spending our Monday in P-Town!

Don't forget to like us on Facebook to see Cape Harmony in action!

Love,

CH
